Sybiha said on X that the call with the foreign ministers of Poland, France, Britain, Finland, the EU's foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, as well as representatives of Italy and Germany, had been "timely and meaningful".

He said he had shared the results of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's "recent contacts and outlined the logic of our further steps".

Zelensky on Friday pushed back against Washington's 28-point plan, which would force Ukraine to give up land, cut its army and pledge never to join NATO.

"We discussed in detail the elements of peace proposals presented by the United States and our joint work to pave a doable path to a just peace," Sybiha added.

He said he had thanked Ukraine's partners "for their willingness to increase support for Ukraine during this decisive time".

US President Donald Trump has set a deadline for the Thanksgiving holiday, November 27, for Ukraine to accept his administration's plan, which is seen in Kyiv as very favourable to the Kremlin.

The phone call was held in the so-called "Washington format", officials said, which refers to a heads of state meeting in the U.S. capital earlier this year that brought together leaders from the above-mentioned countries to discuss peace efforts for Ukraine. However, no leader from Poland attended the gathering at the time.
